MICHAEL TURNER: 1971 - 2008
Fighting a long battle with cancer since March 2000, superstar aritist Michael Turner died late last week.
Turner was first dicovered at a comic convention by Marc Silvestri and hired by Top Cow Productions. He co-created Witchblade at Top Cow and then created Fathom, he then moved on to create his comic company Aspen Comics were he created Soulfire. Over the pass few years Michael found time to do artwork covers for the big two; Marvel - Fantastic Four, Civil War (variants) and Fallon Son: The Death Of Captain America (variants); DC - Flash, Justice League Of America (variants) and Superman/Batman. Michael Turner will be missed by his fans.
Unfortunately it's with great sadness that I must inform everyone that Michael Turner tragically passed away last night, June 27th at approximately 10:42 pm in Santa Monica, Ca. Turner had been dealing with recent health complications arisen in the past few weeks. More details concerning Turner's passing, and services, will be given shortly - ASPEN COMICS.

Five one-shots in five weeks, doesn't seem unusual for DC - Their new series The Joker's Asylum will spotlight five of Batman's greatest villains in each issue, beginning with the Joker.
