Another waste of space

For reasons unknown (probably to kill more time), the Comic Shop is now swimming with the open mouth masses.

Yes, that's right, there's a MySpace profile bearing the bare details of the shop in question.

Add as a friend and enjoy the gender identity duality issues at hand.

No escaping the Civil War

Apparently there is no respect for spoilers when the masses chew their newspapers and listen knuckle skulled to the wireless. There's some rush on the storyline with Civil War taking a heavy dose of diuretics that watches it run every chance it gets out the door.

Not seeing it last long enough on the shelves isn't the bad part.

Days in recent past were bad for Marvel zombies. Especially of those who grey their fingers with the newspaper or listen to the voices coming from the radio. The NY Post was kind enough to read ahead on the issue in question and write up the moment of concern. And then the reports hit other newspapers, and even MX in Sydney. News of this event were also being heard on the radio according to one customer.

Spillage of the flashbulb kicking questions on Civil War #2 has blown like a back door after a night of too much chilli con carne at the local steak house.

Stinks to high heaven really. And you can't plug that one up easy.

Spacing out the distance and location

Setting up in the new location of the Comic Shop edges ever closer as the days move on. It's only a matter of weeks even, a couple of months in the future. In the current situation, it'll leave a bit of space overlap between the current address and the new.

One thought is that it might be a good place for a little yo-yo meet up hang out. Or even as a huddle area for those just wanting to break out the tabletop board games. (Few as they seem to be every passing season.) CCG players wouldn't be out of sorts either.

Maybe even as a little reading area. Though that's a pretty far fetched idea when the move happens. What with nothing in the shop front and all.

Definitely not as an area for the junkies and shooters to claim as their new gallery. That's what they have Georges Serviceway around the back for. Glorious smells come from that dank and nasty section of the map.

Look! Up in the sky!

Turns out that the reason for the Channel Nine chopper hovering over Liverpool late Saturday was thanks to a dead body.

Of sorts. Or something like that.

Forensic Police and the other cops were out on a residence in Macquarie Street toward the netball courts. Apparently there were a couple of wheelie bins with blue/white cop tape and a suspicious looking facade to the unit.

No idea if there really was a dead body though. Did hear reports of a medivac chopper landing on the netball courts. Dead or not, that stuff is for moving some condition of a body.

Suspicious individual on George Street

Clearing out to closing time at the store, the section just outside the court house, library and power juice stores was blocked off. For what, who knows. A band of yoyos were spinning their tricks and missing opportunities in telling passers-by all sorts of tales and stories.

Clocking off for the day under the mask (dripping a little as it were), V for Verisimilitude the temptation to run over and ask the police cops what the deal was soon snapped back into sense. Running toward the police in this mask?

V For Vendetta looks to be drawing its season at the box office to a close. Looking over the session times at the cinema down in Westfields, there are none. George Street, however, are up with the goods and still showing a few more days at least. Probably enough for a week.

When V's gone, a good chance that working behind the counter will be without a mask. In time then for the next big comic book movies, X-Men 3: The Last Stand and Superman Returns.

Faces and places at all them strange bases

Work now is on the sourcing of faces, masks and logos to be blown up large for the new store location.

One with plenty of windows and wall space for the slap of the posters and logo emblems mighty huge for the bat signal down into George Street of Liverpool.

Idea on working with a mural set up sketchy, a deal on the overlapping one figure in the line up. A cavalcade of faces, or of biceps and ankles, no solid picture comes to mind.

Looking to locals for the handiwork is out of the question at the moment. And likely out for the run.
