Visiting The Simpsons on Evergreen Terrace

Springfieldians in a box

Trapped: Simpsons dioramas and set displays Awaking from their nightly slumber, the residents and citizens of Springfield found themselves encased in cardboard boxes with plastic windows.

Early reports show that their favoured places to loiter and live have also been made into their confines.

Further complicating matters is the fact that each of the Springfieldians are unable to communicate to the outside world beyond what are believed to be catchphrases and short quips.

How their situation came about remains a mystery and investigations are continuing into the matter.

Wide range of cast from Playmates, McFarlane Toys and the ones from the motion picture. No better display and at such a complete collection round these here parts. And the price? Oh, very much kind for your wallet.

Bending in the wind

Simpsons going floppy and bendy Bendables are not chewables and eating the Simpsons out from these boxes will not be anywhere near a good idea.

Apple delight in ranges from the set of the Krusty the Clown show, Springfield Elementary, Best of Bart, Treehouse of Horror, Best of Homer Collection and all kinds of other collections you shouldn't be eating.

From NJ Croce, sets to bend the stomach of the four fingers into the soft mouth.

Unusual suspects

Citizens line up to take stand With what locals have dubbed the joke of the decade, the police line up for the disappearance of a few thousand donuts, a truckload of Laramie cigarettes and a shipment of Duff beer has turned out with a less than regular dress code.

From an appearance by Bartman, a half-naked Homer Simpson and Bleeding Gums Murphy (thought deceased), it would seem as though nobody will be quick to give themselves up or eager to make the job of any witnesses any easier. Police chief Wiggum was unavailable for comment.

More than just a couch gag

Xmas time all year round Running around and off the couch, the Simpsons and their neighbours have been known to hit the town on a ride or two.

Whether dangling from the big Christmas tree in the town centre to riding the train of Halloween, they know how to get out and about.

Captured and frozen like the tongue licking the metal pole, it's a moment in time they can't seem to escape. No matter how hard they may try.

Marge Simpson caught out, doesn't recycle

What happens when you're looking to buy some new comics but the space within the house can no longer contain them and is having trouble enough breathing with the ones that are already inside? Buy a bigger house? Build a new storey? Suck them into a vacuum bag, the likes of which are seen forevere endlessly on infomercials during a late night/midday stupor? One woman thought she had the answer, just throw away all the old ones.

Marge Simpson, a long time resident of Springfield and dedicated homemaker, was snapped on the cover of the new Simpsons Comics #100 emptying out a box load of comics into the kerbside bin. Her son, Bart, seen in the background, is clearly distraught - and possibly in backward shock - at the sight of his beloved collection, or segments thereof, making its way headlong into the trash.

However, if the evergreen trend for tree-hugging councils around the world follows a pattern, the shock in this instance should be worn upon the face of Marge Simpson. Council laws and regulations in most eco-conscious towns and suburbs impose fines and penalties for individuals caught throwing recyclable material in with the general rubbish.

But, as unnamed sources would suggest, Marge Simpson may not have anything to fear if her connections run as deep as an ingrown toenail.

Along with a failed pretzel enterprise with rumoured ties to the Mafia, Simpson's past includes a stint in the local law enforcement. A marked footnote of which includes vanishing crates of imitation jeans believed, at several points during the investigation, to have been housed at the family home.

With such damning evidence presented on the front of any publication, ordinary citizens would have a lot to worry about. Marge Simpson, it seems, can do no wrong no matter how strong the foul smelling uproar, and despite the candid photographic proof, will likely go unpunished for her actions. It's enough to make an ardent environmentalist faint.

Brains for breakfast, a way to start the day

Best of Homer bendable box set - Undead Homer pictured - NJ Croce
Start it off and kick a day into Action Jackson gear with the right stuff. Breakfast, it's the most important meal of the day. For some, it's the second meal after waking up, most others the first.

When you're a zombie, there's one thing that will bring up the undead in you like a worm burrowing through. Brains.

Or more precisely, braaaiiins. Juicy, soft and made up entirely of that grey matter, a brain is the life food of the undead and zombies.

Tough to crack, the skull is the shell that holds this most delicate of delicacies. Work it and you'll have yourself a feast for the day that will power you up lugging your left leg down the street with all the energy you'll need.

At least until the next time you sniff a synapse.
